For over 130 years, Wittmann has combined uncompromising craftsmanship with far-sighted design vision and the highest standards of quality. What began in 1896 as a saddlery in Etsdorf, Lower Austria, grew over generations into an internationally renowned manufactory. The story of the house is not a staged narrative but a lived reality – shaped by a self-understanding that unites precision, collaborative thinking and a clear sense of quality. At Wittmann, family history means more than continuity. Design meets textiles – the two Munich events have seen a significant increase in exhibitors and trade visitors thanks to their successful collaboration. The second edition of MUNICH DESIGN DAYS and the 28th MÜNCHNER STOFF FRÜHLING took place from March 12–15, 2026. The combination of both events continued its success, attracting a total of over 7,000 trade visitors to MÜNCHNER STOFF FRÜHLING, MUNICH DESIGN DAYS, and MUNICH DESIGN DAYS CITY. This represents a very significant increase in trade visitors compared to the previous year and underscores the event’s positioning as a premium format with growing relevance in the high-end interior design segment.

As part of this year’s Fuorisalone, Rubelli invites you to experience the immersive installation “AI WEIWEI: ABOUT SILK” at the Rubelli Showroom. The Rubelli Showroom transforms into a theatrical setting, enveloped in fabric designs by Ai Weiwei. Visitors can experience firsthand the complexity of textile craftsmanship and the depth that Ai Weiwei has brought to the project. In addition, an exclusive documentary will be screened in which the artist explores the connection between his poetics and his choice of textiles as a medium.
