KAUF LOKAL – BUY LOCAL
Together for Munich: On Monday, March 11, 2019, the local pop up event KAUF LOKAL starts in Munich. The event will take place at HIRMER, BETTENTRID and SPORTHAUS SCHUSTER until March. With KAUF LOKAL, the three family run Munich companies, together with 80 Munich fashion, handcraft, culinary delight and lifestyle brands set an example for local trade and against the unification of city centers through big trade chains. The three department stores stand for an authentic shopping experience and local stores. During the event, they act as curators of an exhibition, that invites visitors to an exploration trip through Munich.

70 years Kartell “The Art Side of Kartell“
2019, Kartell celebrates its 70-year anniversary with a special program of activities. The beginning of the festivities will mark the exhibition “The Art Side of Kartell”, curated by Ferruccio Laviani and Rita Selvaggio. It will be exhibited at Appartamento dei Principi di Palazzo Reale in Milan from April 10 to May 12 and opens during Salone del Mobile 2019. An exhibition, that shows some of the milestones of the company’s history as well as the dialog of the design of Kartell and different forms of art.

Kitchen manufacturer Popstahl – founded in Berlin – celebrates its 10-year anniversary this year. The idea of the kitchen cabinets made of steel was born some years before starting the production through contact to an Austrian steel manufacturer. At Popstahl, the focus is on clear, timeless design, quality and durability of the material steel and sustainability. Modularity offers multiple expansion and transformation possibilities and thus increase the useful life of the kitchen.The possible color change of the kitchen fronts is a further aspect of value conservation, as no new corpuses or fronts are needed.
